Meiji Era (1868-1912) Japanese teacup and saucer of the palest celadon green eggshell porcelain. Hand-painted chrysanthemum and butterfly motif with black and gold borders. Gold leaf on tea cup handle.
Tea cup is 3.75 inches in diameter and 2 inches high. Saucer is approx. 5.5 inches in diameter. Excellent condition. No cracks, chips, or crazing. Saucer bears the kiln mark and the cup is signed (seal stamp) by the painter.
Because it is fragile, this item will be shipped double-boxed and well wrapped in bubble wrap to ensure safe delivery.
